And I’ve officially fallen behind on my Goodreads Challenge. Not a big deal. It’s been a busy month and I haven’t had time to read as much as I’d like. But I did read some pretty awesome books.
You Had Me at Hola by Alexis Daria – I adored this book. It reminded me of watching telenovelas with my great-grandmother. It’s what she used to teach me Spanish. (I’m still not fluent. But it made for some great memories with her.) I’m also stoked for the next book coming out this Fall!
The Boyfriend Project by Farrah Rochon – Ah, I loved everything about this book. It takes place in Austin, one of my favorite places. Samiah and Daniel are just so damn cute. I loved their awkward interactions. It felt real. I also loved that Samiah found some new friends in a pretty unexpected way.
More Than This by Jay McLean – This one was a re-read for book club in my reader group. I still love these characters. We’ll be talking about this book on May 2nd in my group if you’d like to join! Operation Mayhem!
Did you read any awesome books in April? Let me know what I should add to my TBR!
