It’s been an epic reading month. I would like to thank the rain for that. It’s pretty much the only thing I want to do when it’s raining as much as it has in the past few weeks. It’s also been a month of lots of historical romance. I’d like to thank my friend Steph In Wonderland, also known as S.K. Derbas, for that. She got me started on reading historical, and now I can’t stop! Check out her YouTube channel for book recommendations!

Check out my favorite reads below!

All the Ways to Ruin a Rogue by Sophie Jordan – I loved Aurelia in the first book, and I was stoked to read her book in the series. She has spunk and doesn’t really care what people think!

The Rakehell of Roth by Amalie Howard – Isobel was completely unexpected for me. From reading the first book, I thought she was shy and kind of a wallflower. I was sooo wrong. She’s amazing!

With the Fire on High by Elizabeth Acevedo – It’s know secret I love this author. The stories she creates are amazing. This book hit in me in the feels as much as her others. It’s a beautiful story of teen motherhood.

Get a Life, Chloe Brown by Talia Hibbert – I’m about to devour the rest of this series. I loved the characters. I laughed and swooned. Chloe is something else, and Red is right there with her. I loved how these two fought their attraction so much.

Arsenic & Adobo by Mia P. Manansala – I don’t read a ton of cozy mysteries, but I’m so happy I picked this one up. It had funny moments and poor Lila can’t catch a break. I loved that the focus was more on her friendships than any romantic leads. I know, weird for a romance author to say, but I really enjoyed it.

To Have and To Hoax by Martha Waters – I don’t think I’ve ever read an actual romcom that was also a historical romance, but this one is definitely that! I laughed so hard at the antics going on.

A Cuban Girl’s Guide to Tea and Tomorrow by Laura Taylor Namey – I loved this book so much. Lila’s relationship with her grandmother reminds me so much of my great-grandmother. And the foods she cooks made my mouth water. Lila has so much to learn about life and how to deal with grief. She comes a long way in figuring out what she wants.

Have you read any great books this month?
