My March Reads

It’s the third month of the year and I’m actually ahead of my Goodreads Challenge goal. That is a victory in itself. I’m usually way behind by now. Reading more books is one of the ways I’m taking care of my mental health, though. Here are some of my favorite books this month.

I Am Not Your Perfect Mexican Daughter by Erika L. Sanchez – It’s such an amazing coming of age story. I also thought it hit some of those pressures daughters can face within their own family with an added tragedy on top of it.

Memento by Jay Kristoff & Amie Kaufman – Y’all, I absolutely love the Illuminae series. It’s one of my all time favorites and the audio production is amazing. This is a short that takes place before the first book, and we get to see the moment that causes AIDAN to act the way it does in the series. If you love sci-fi, I definitely recommend this series.

Covet by Tracy Wolff – I’ve devoured each book in this series as it’s come out. This one was no different. She ends the book with you wanting more. I can’t wait to read the last book when it comes out.

Invitation by Vi Keeland – Talk about a slow burn. This one definitely has it. I loved the characters and if you’re a fan of Dolly Parton, you’ll love the Hero’s daughter.

I’ve obviously been on a YA kick. What are some of your favorite YA books? Who knows…maybe you’ll see one from me in the future. It might just include someone from the Taking Chances series.
