Gifts for readers & writers

I know Hubs always has a hard time finding gifts for me no matter the season. I’m not really the sort that wants a lot of things. It’s the simple stuff for me. But…if you have a reader, or writer, among your family and friends, here are a few things that I absolutely love.

  • Tea – Right now my absolute favorite tea is Darker The Berry from Tea Please. It’s fruity and delicious! Even better, it’s a small business and local to me!

  • Mugs – So many stores sell cute ones and you can find some amazing mugs on Etsy. The best way to drink the yummy tea is from a cute mug.

  • Journals/Notebooks – You can never have too many. I know I like to keep up with what I’m reading in a notebook on it’s own. I also have a ton with story notes and future ideas.

  • Pens – I’m a sucker for PenGems pens. I also adore Villabeautifful and fountain pens. (TWSBI is a good one to start with.)

  • Fingerless gloves – I love mine when I’m writing into the night. They keep my hands warm, but still allow me to get the words out.

  • Mechanical keyboard – it gives all those wonderful clicky sounds when you type. (I’m hoping this one is under the tree for me.)

  • Gift cards – Gift cards to their favorite bookstores, coffee shops, or stationary stores. I can promise you, they’ll love it!

  • Planner stickers for writers – I absolutely love stickers from Procrastiplanner Etc. They have the perfect stickers for marking down all those things writers have to remember. (The shop is closed right now until January 1st, but still a great one!)

  • Book light – I like to read in bed and sometimes it’s hard to find a light that doesn’t take weird battery sizes. I got one during a lightning deal that charges with a USB cord. I freaking love it. It has three light settings and it’s perfect for me.

  • Scrivener – I absolutely love this for writing, and I can’t wait to see what they come up with in the future as far as updates.

  • Water tumbler – Writers, and readers, need to stay hydrated!

  • Alphasmart – it’s a word processor and you can get them pretty cheap on ebay.

  • Cozy socks – I love comfy socks, or even cute house shoes!

  • Lotion – we have to take care of our hands.

  • Candles – I cannot tell you how many we’ve gone through this year.

  • Snacks – their fave snacks that aren’t too messy.

  • Coffee – grab their favorite brew they can make at home.

This definitely isn’t an exhaustive list, but it features some of the things on my wishlist and that I love.
