It was another busy reading month for me. Actually, I think I read more in October than I have any other month this year. Clearly, I stuck to spooky season reads for the most part. Basically anything that had a Fall vibe to it, or witches.
I always need to refill my creative well with books and TV before I start writing again. Because as soon as that happens, I don’t read as much as I’d like.

Young Adult
Both Monday’s Not Coming and The Taking of Jake Livingston hit me in heart. Both are pretty emotional and speak to what a lot of kids face every day. This Coven Won’t Break was the second book in a series, and I really enjoyed it.

Monday’s Not Coming by Tiffany D. Jackson
The Taking of Jake Livingston by Ryan Douglass
This Coven Won’t Break by Isabel Sterling
Romance
Grounds for Romance is such a cute and fun book. I loved every minute of it. Fake Dating a Demon was funny, smexy, and so much fun.

Grounds for Romance by Mel Walker
A Witch’s Guide to Fake Dating a Demon by Sarah Hawley
Cozy Mystery
All of these were fun books. I should be finishing the Danielle Garrett series this month. The characters crack me up.

What a Ghost Wants by Danielle Garrett
Ghosts Gone Wild by Danielle Garrett
When Good Ghosts Get the Blues by Danielle Garrett
A Mystic Murder by Kennedy Chase
Big Ghosts Don’t Cry by Danielle Garrett
Southern Spirits by Angie Fox
Horror/Thriller/Fiction Books
I love all of these books. They had me guessing at every turn and I wasn’t sure what to expect.

The Witches of El Paso by Luis Jamarillo
Vampires of El Norte by Isabel Cañas
The Haunting of Brynn Wylder by Wendy Webb
